This role is embedded in The Recovery Center (TRC) which provides court ordered care in Cortez, CO and surrounding communities. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) and UA Collector to join our growing team in a fast-paced, dynamic medical setting. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training and the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of patients. Responsibilities and Duties: As a Patient Care Coordinator and UA Collector, you will be trained to support the professional medical staff and help manage clinic operations. Key responsibilities include: Collecting Urine Drug Screens: This role primarily collects observed urine samples in our lab and documents in our medical record system. Patient Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments and ensure timely and accurate scheduling. Collecting Vitals & Patient Information: Take and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and gather essential patient information. Phone Handling & Patient Interaction: Answer phone calls, assist patients with inquiries, and provide direction as needed. Patient Registration: Admit and register patients into the clinic system, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. Data & Record Keeping: Accurately input patient data into the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR) system and maintain updated patient files. Facility Maintenance: Assist with building upkeep, cleaning, and ensuring the clinic environment is safe and welcoming. Communication with Medical Staff: Relay information between patients and medical providers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient care. Customer Service & Patient-Centered Care: Provide exceptional service to patients by assisting with inquiries, directing them to appropriate services, and fostering a compassionate and supportive clinic atmosphere. Crisis Management & De-escalation: Demonstrate competency in verbal de-escalation, crisis intervention techniques, and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations. Regulatory Compliance: Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and a safe work environment.
