You will work directly with executive leadership to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that enhance performance, stabilize operations, and create lasting value. As the Turnaround & Transformation Specialist, you will serve as both a strategic advisor and hands-on operator—leading financial restructuring efforts, optimizing operational performance, and driving enterprise transformation initiatives. You will play a critical role in: Stabilizing and strengthening financial performance Improving operational efficiency across departments Establishing scalable systems and processes for long-term growth Guiding executive decision-making with data-driven insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Proven success in turnaround, restructuring, or transformation environments
  • Strong background in healthcare operations, including: Revenue cycle management Medical billing and payer reimbursement
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial and business acumen
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytics
  • Ability to lead in high-pressure, rapidly evolving environments
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • High integrity and sound professional judgment
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Prior experience as a CFO or senior financial executive strongly preferred
  • Experience in rural health clinics or outpatient settings is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide turnaround and transformation initiatives
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve financial and operational performance
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational strategy and long-term planning
  • Evaluate and support strategic opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and capital allocation
  • Drive cost optimization and working capital improvements
  • Establish and enhance financial reporting, controls, and KPI frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across departments
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve productivity and accountability
  • Support organizational restructuring and resource alignment as needed
  • Lead and develop finance and accounting teams, including FP&A and revenue cycle
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to align financial and operational goals
  • Present financial insights to executive leadership, board members, and stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with lenders, auditors, investors, and external partners
  • Lead financial and operational stabilization efforts during periods of disruption
  • Drive accountability and performance improvement across the organization
