Position Summary The Turnaround Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling an integrated schedule to support safe, efficient, and disciplined execution of all turnaround and outage related activities, ensuring alignment between scope, resources, and execution strategy. Position Responsibilities Develops, maintains, and optimizes turnaround schedules covering maintenance, engineering, inspections, and startup/commissioning activities. Builds and manages logic-driven, resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6 to support critical path control. Provides early and late curve to TAR Manager for float analysis. Engages with Turnaround Planning, Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, and Contractors to ensure schedules accurately reflect scope, constraints, and execution strategy. Supports scope freeze, work packaging, and sequencing decisions through schedule analysis and “what-if” scenarios. Assists with development of shutdown windows, unit outage schedules, and recovery plans as necessary. Interfaces with the Cost Controls team to align schedule, cost phasing, and productivity assumptions. Optimizes scheduling activities associated with plant outages to help ensure all required work is completed within the identified duration. Ensures consistent use of scheduling standards, coding structures, calendars, and scheduling methodologies. Maintains alignment between the schedule, work packages, and field execution during all TAR phases (pre‑TAR, execution, and post‑TAR). Identifies critical path, near‑critical activities, float consumption, and schedule risks; protects critical path by proactively communicating impacts and potential recovery options on daily basis. Performs change impact analysis for emergent scope and provides schedule reforecasts as required. Tracks all delays during TAR and reports to TAR Manager. Advises leadership where there may be misalignment between planned work and available resources. Works closely with field coordinators, contractors and operations to ensure updates reflect reality. Tracks and reports schedule progress, including percent complete, milestone achievement, and forecast completion along with earned versus burned hours for PF. Supports TAR governance requirements, including management reports, readiness reviews, and post‑TAR assessments. Captures and documents schedule lessons learned to support continuous improvement for future turnarounds. Contributes to the organizational vision of Global Methanol Leadership and, as a team member, demonstrates the core values of integrity, trust, respect and professionalism. Conducts all business in a manner which supports the Responsible Care® ethic. Networks with other Methanex sites to the mutual benefit of all sites. Responsible for ensuring awareness of all controlled documents relating to this position as per Document Awareness Report from Document Management Database. Participates in local and global teams to execute specific projects, or to foster and develop the corporate use of CMMS’s. Contributes to the ‘operational excellence’ for Methanex USA as an effective member of the Turnaround Department.
