About The Position
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trucking Safety, Insurance & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the trucking industry and a strong understanding of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, insurance processes, and transportation compliance standards. This role is responsible for overseeing safety compliance, managing insurance-related matters, reducing company liability, and ensuring that all regulatory and operational requirements are met.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in trucking safety, compliance, or insurance coordination
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT requirements
- Experience handling insurance claims within the transportation industry
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with FMCSA and DOT safety regulations
- Maintain and audit Driver Qualification (DQ) files and compliance documentation
- Oversee accident reporting, investigations, and claim follow-ups
- Communicate and coordinate with insurance providers regarding claims and policy updates
- Track Certificates of Insurance (COI) and policy renewals
- Monitor safety performance metrics and CSA scores
- Coordinate drug & alcohol testing programs
- Support audit preparation and regulatory inspections
- Manage driver onboarding documentation and compliance requirements
- Implement safety improvement and risk mitigation strategies
