About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trucking Safety, Insurance & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the trucking industry and a strong understanding of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, insurance processes, and transportation compliance standards. This role is responsible for overseeing safety compliance, managing insurance-related matters, reducing company liability, and ensuring that all regulatory and operational requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trucking safety, compliance, or insurance coordination
  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT requirements
  • Experience handling insurance claims within the transportation industry
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with FMCSA and DOT safety regulations
  • Maintain and audit Driver Qualification (DQ) files and compliance documentation
  • Oversee accident reporting, investigations, and claim follow-ups
  • Communicate and coordinate with insurance providers regarding claims and policy updates
  • Track Certificates of Insurance (COI) and policy renewals
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and CSA scores
  • Coordinate drug & alcohol testing programs
  • Support audit preparation and regulatory inspections
  • Manage driver onboarding documentation and compliance requirements
  • Implement safety improvement and risk mitigation strategies
