About The Position
We’re seeking a Trucking Operations Manager to lead, train, and elevate our dispatch and planning team. This role is focused on developing operational excellence, improving planning strategies, and ensuring consistent execution standards across dispatch.
Requirements
- Strong background in trucking operations, dispatch, and load planning
- Proven experience leading or mentoring dispatch/planning teams
- Advanced MCLEOD experience
- Advanced planning and dispatch expertise (core requirement)
- Advanced Excel skills (analysis, tracking, performance reporting)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Ability to design processes and improve operational workflows
- Strategic thinker with hands-on industry knowledge
Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and develop dispatchers and load planners
- Establish and enforce best practices in dispatch and planning
- Oversee planning quality, routing logic, and load optimization decisions
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Provide guidance on complex planning scenarios and escalations
- Build scalable processes, SOPs, and performance frameworks
- Partner with leadership to improve efficiency, cost control, and service levels
