About The Position
We’re seeking a Trucking Operations Manager to lead, train, and elevate our dispatch and planning team. This role is focused on developing operational excellence , improving planning strategies, and ensuring consistent execution standards across dispatch.
Requirements
- Strong background in trucking operations, dispatch, and load planning
- Proven experience leading or mentoring dispatch/planning teams
- Advanced MCLEOD experience, Advanced planning and dispatch expertise (core requirement)
- Advanced Excel skills (analysis, tracking, performance reporting)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Ability to design processes and improve operational workflows
- Strategic thinker with hands-on industry knowledge
Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and develop dispatchers and load planners
- Establish and enforce best practices in dispatch and planning
- Oversee planning quality, routing logic, and load optimization decisions
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Provide guidance on complex planning scenarios and escalations
- Build scalable processes, SOPs, and performance frameworks
- Partner with leadership to improve efficiency, cost control, and service levels
