About The Position

Givens Transportation is seeking an experienced Trucking Dispatcher to manage and dispatch company drivers operating nationwide. This position oversees day-to-day driver performance while coordinating loads across the country to ensure safe, on-time delivery and excellent service to our customers.

This role requires someone who understands trucking operations, can manage drivers professionally, and can keep freight moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience using McLeod software required
• Minimum 3+ years OTR dispatch experience
• Previous experience supervising drivers
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
• Organized and able to manage multiple drivers and loads at once

Responsibilities

• Dispatch company drivers operating throughout the United States
• Assign loads based on Hours of Service, driver location, equipment type, and customer needs
• Monitor shipments and resolve delays, breakdowns, or service issues
• Supervise driver performance, attendance, and daily activity
• Issue verbal and written corrective actions when necessary
• Approve driver timecards and manage driver communication
• Ensure drivers are compliant with DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Work with maintenance on equipment issues and scheduling repairs
• Provide shipment updates to customers when needed
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and operational reports
