Job Summary: Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of trucks and related equipment. Mid-level position – Generally has more than three years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A level two technician has moderate knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Level two technician performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is indirectly supervised and self-starting; often a team member on a large project. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions: Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Troubleshoots and diagnoses moderately complex engine malfunctions and failures with direction and minimum supervision Performs thorough engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimum supervision Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance Acts as a mentor and coach to lower level Technicians Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training Consistently maintains an average rework of less than 1% Ensures a positive average variance consistently Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Requires regular and punctual employee attendance Performs other duties as assigned
