About The Position

This is a skilled position responsible for safely moving materials into and out of a department, and ensuring the correct materials are processed promptly and accurately for the right truck. Previous experience loading trucks is preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Previous truck loader operation experience is highly preferred.
• Basic computer familiarity.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals, typically acquired through high school education or equivalency.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Driver's License is preferred

Responsibilities

• Use and understand computerized tracking systems, delivery receipts, and production labels to effectively plan truck routes.
• Locate product in the facility and load production on the truck in the reverse order of the route.
• Handle product carefully to avoid damage and ensure safety for self and others.
• Recognize product defects and notify the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure the truck is on level ground before loading.
• Distribute weight evenly when loading items on the truck.
• Securely load products to allow safe delivery to customers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and adhere to all safety policies.
