Job Summary: Provides exceptional customer service while inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance to trucks, trailers, and attachments for On-Highway vehicles. Essential Functions: Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission · Troubleshoots, diagnosis, and repairs On-Highway trucks both Cat and OEM · Performs engine and related equipment repairs on Trucks and Trailers · Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs · Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations · Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing · Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines · Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns · Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicles in a good, clean, and working order · Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins · Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates · Travels to and from the job site and travels to retrieve parts · Listens and understands customer complaints, quotes and explains repair costs, and schedules appointments with customers while providing clear communications · Orders parts needed to complete repairs · Completes and files documentation necessary to justify billing · Responds to customer needs after hours when needed · Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed · Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs · Maintains a P Factor of 100% or greater · Maintains less than .5% rework for years total sales · Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance · Acts as a mentor and coach to lower level Technicians · Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training · Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards · Requires regular and punctual employee attendance · Performs other duties as assigned
