Job Summary: Provides exceptional customer service while inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance to trucks, trailers, and attachments for On-Highway vehicles. Essential Functions: Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Troubleshoots and repairs On-Highway trucks both Cat and OEM Travels to and from the job site and travels to retrieve parts Listens and understands customer complaints, quotes and explains repair costs, and schedules appointments with customers while providing clear communications Orders parts needed to complete repairs Completes and files documentation necessary to justify billing Responds to customer needs after hours when needed Maintains a P Factor of 110% or greater Maintains less than .5% rework for years total sales Troubleshoots and diagnoses engine malfunctions and failures Performs engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance Acts as a mentor and coach to lower level Technicians Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training Requires regular and punctual employee attendance Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Performs other duties as assigned
