About The Position

Treatment Director will manage, support and plan how services are delivered in regards to all treatment and assessment services for residents of St PJ’s Children’s Home. Treatment Director provides direct supervision for all case managers and interns related to shelter services. Treatment Director will assist with reporting. Treatment Director acts as a representative of St PJ’s Children’s Home. Treatment Director is responsible for the therapeutic milieu and continued evaluation of efficacy of interventions. Treatment Director will be responsible for becoming a Train the Trainer in the treatment model (Sanctuary Model and EQ2) and will lead the training of all shelter staff. Treatment Director provides subject matter expertise and direction to the case management and direct care staff evaluation. This position is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of all staff under their supervision and will make recommendations for termination of employees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder, including one year in a residential setting.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in providing therapeutic services including individual, group, marriage and family; providing supervision to licensed therapists
  • Extensive working knowledge of administration of clinical services, and treatment for youth and families
  • Extensive knowledge of working with Counseling Interns
  • Extensive working knowledge of the process of change, and trauma informed care
  • Experience and proficiency with computer software: email, internet, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience in billing of services
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Excellent writing skills with proven ability to translate complex concepts into succinct, clear, accessible language for multiple audiences
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Experience in program development including goal setting and metrics
  • Must be skilled in time management and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience with computer software and electronic healthcare database (i.e., Extended Reach and Advanced MD software preferred)
  • A solid grasp of HIPAA and residential treatment models
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), preferred

Responsibilities

  • Treatment Director, in collaboration with the Program Director and Senior Director of Emergency Services, plans, develops, coordinates, implements and assess all programs and services, manages program requirements and policies regarding the treatment model at St PJ’s Children’s Home.
  • Treatment Director will provide regular supervision of the direct care staff to make certain the staff follow the treatment plan for each resident.
  • Treatment Director will ensure services delivered and the environment are trauma informed and ensure best practices are followed by the clinical/treatment team.
  • Treatment Director will ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
  • Treatment Director, in collaboration with Program Director and Senior Director of Emergency Services, is responsible for the on-going development process of the Sanctuary Treatment Model.
  • Treatment Director or another member of the clinical team will assess the resident within 24 hours of a containment. This assessment must be completed in person.
  • Treatment Director is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of all staff under their supervision and will make recommendations for termination of employees, if necessary.
  • Treatment Director will develop and implement employee development plans for program employees.
  • Treatment Director must have excellent writing and editing skills with proven ability to translate complex concepts into succinct, clear, accessible language for multiple audiences.
  • Treatment Director will ensure all clinical staff maintain proper credentialing, including professional licensure and insurance paneling.
  • Treatment Director will provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment/clinical program, by actively participating in quality assurance activities and providing statistical information for the program.
  • Treatment Director will assume ON-CALL duties after regular business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Treatment Director may assume a case load (clinical or case management) at the discretion of the Program Director with the approval of the Senior Director of Emergency Services and/or Vice-President of Programs.
  • Treatment Director will coordinate and lead various program meetings, weekly/monthly/quarterly.
  • Treatment Director will monitor job performance of all staff based on services provided, program procedures, and program/grant goals.
  • Treatment Director will maintain and continue to grow partnerships with institutions of higher education (e.g. recruiting graduate assistants/interns).
  • Treatment Director will liaise with the Director of Counseling Services and therapists providing counseling to the children to ensure therapeutic services align with the child’s needs.
  • Treatment Director will provide performance review in compliance with agency guidelines and time frames.
  • Treatment Director will maintain and monitor Performance Quality Indicators and engage in quarterly peer reviews of case files.
  • Treatment Director will review critical cases and coordinate with stakeholders to provide clinical recommendations.
  • Treatment Director will provide direct service and support to individuals or clients, such as handling referrals, conducting a needs evaluation, or resolving complaints.
  • Treatment Director must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Treatment Director must adhere to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and take precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
  • Treatment Director will monitor all program service locations to ensure quality of treatment services.
  • Treatment Director is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Treatment Director’s adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
  • Treatment Director is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Director and Senior Director of Emergency Services.
