About The Position

The Business Assistant II (Treatment Coordinator) plays a vital role in creating a seamless and supportive patient experience. As a key liaison between patients and the clinical team, this position is responsible for clearly communicating treatment plans, discussing financial options, and coordinating care with confidence and compassion. This role partners closely with the doctor to ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and empowered in their decisions—ultimately supporting both exceptional clinical outcomes and the continued growth of the practice.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of dental office experience
  • Results-driven with a positive, energetic approach and a passion for achieving goals
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to think independently and take initiative
  • Strong customer service mindset, focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience
  • Comfortable with technology and proficient in dental software and general computer applications
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional growth
  • Open to feedback, with the ability to apply coaching in a constructive and professional manner
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Guide patients through their treatment plans, answering questions and ensuring a clear understanding of their oral health needs
  • Present treatment options, financial arrangements, and scheduling solutions in a supportive and patient-focused manner
  • Help patients move forward with care by building trust and achieving treatment plan acceptance goals
  • Collaborate closely with the doctor and clinical team to foster a positive, team-oriented environment
  • Manage administrative responsibilities accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding treatment, insurance, financial options, and scheduling
  • Deliver a high level of customer service, creating a welcoming and professional experience for every patient interaction
  • Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to help patients make confident, informed decisions about their care
  • Maintain a positive, “can-do” mindset when assisting patients and team members
  • Create a strong first impression both in person and over the phone
  • Support and uphold the Arkansas Periodontal & Implant Associates Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Ensure every patient receives an exceptional, personalized experience
  • Take ownership and accountability for individual performance, team goals, and practice success
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all company policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with leadership, doctors, hygienists, and team members
  • Address and resolve patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
