About The Position

The Treasury Sales Officer is responsible for sales of cash management products to new and existing commercial customers with a focus on growing deposit relationships and generating fee income. Ensures applicable product agreements and customer disclosures are completed, compliant and current. This position implements competitive products, develops business for non-interest income and deposits. Drive collaboration between product, sales and client relationship teams to package, market and position leading deposit solutions that address the challenges clients face and grow market share through client calling and deal support. Successfully engages with Deposit Operations to implement and service clients. Serves as the primary source of education regarding our Treasury Services to the bank’s branch staff. Provide on-going support to customers that utilize cash management products assuring customer satisfaction. Responsible for assisting others with customer calling efforts by preparing comparative analysis and making product recommendations. The sales officer should be knowledgeable on cyber security and measures to take to circumvent risk. Engages with our service partners (Atlantic Merchant) to stay abreast of trends in the payments world and introduce these trends to clients and derive non-interest income. Coordinates and keeps current with vendors’ releases, new system enhancements, new services, modifications and revises department processes as needed. Develops and maintains strong partnership and relationships with vendors who provide related deposit, Treasury Management and digital banking services. Primary Bank Representative at key industry events. Participate as the product or industry expert in client call planning and client calls as well as strategic client reviews, identifying opportunities and influencing solutions. Assist in reviewing product development requirements to ensure Voice of Client is accurate. Lead formal client engagements from sourcing, RFP responses, pricing strategy, formal pitches and software demonstrations. Implement Treasury programs and policies companywide. Identify and develop responses to emerging product trends, competitive game changers and market gaps and champion any needed solutions. Lead sales efforts, through proactive prospect lead generation, and the development and nurturing of client relationships. Continue education to maintain status as a best-in-class subject matter expert, with deep understanding of product functionality, value proposition, industry trends and the competitive landscape. Be the voice of our clients to drive innovation and enhancements to our product offering on a regular and formal basis. Write RFI/RFP responses and deliver best and final presentations to clients and their leadership team. Brief senior leaders on sales efforts, deal overview and strategy to win. Create and drive formalized routines with all Sales and Delivery, Deposit Operations, Loan Operations, IT and Executive. Partner with the broader bank organization to gain access to senior level contacts within prospects/client. Conduct and lead client presentations in person, over the telephone and via WebEx, to all levels of client organizations, including senior treasury, finance, purchasing and travel management teams. Perform platform/technology demonstrations and communicate features and benefits to clients. Price deals and lead pricing and contract negotiations with clients.
