About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Sprinkler Foreman (Southeast) to join our Fire Protection Services Team in Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Knoxville, TN; or Blacksburg, VA. In this role, you will serve as a hands‑on technical leader—guiding sprinkler system installations, mentoring crews, and ensuring every project meets the highest standards of performance and compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 7 years of industry experience required
• Strong knowledge of the fire protection industry including NFPA standards, local codes, and best practices
• Proven leadership skills with prior experience overseeing field crews
• Proficiency in reading and redlining fabrication drawings
• Excellent communication skills and a positive customer service attitude
• Ability to work independently, adapt to various physical work environments, and lift heavy objects
• Valid driver’s license required
• OSHA 30 training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Lead the layout, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler piping systems and fire pumps for commercial and industrial buildings
• Oversee on-site work crews, ensuring installations comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and customer requirements
• Conduct hydrostatic testing to verify system functionality and identify leaks
• Perform final inspections with the local, state, and county AHJ’s
• Serve as a technical expert for the team, interpreting work specifications, fire codes, and training junior team members to ensure consistency in project execution
• Maintain positive client relationships and clear communication on project status including relaying potential change orders or service needs
