Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Outpatient Cardiology Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Tarzana, California. This role supports a high-volume outpatient cardiology clinic, providing direct patient care, procedural support, and coordination of cardiac testing and treatment plans. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for experienced clinic RNs with strong cardiology backgrounds who are comfortable supporting stress testing, managing high patient volumes, and handling complex medication and patient communication workflows. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 5x8s (08:00–16:30) • 40 hours guaranteed per week • No call required • No weekend requirement • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor nuclear and treadmill stress tests • Assist with vein ablations and in-clinic procedures • Initiate IVs and administer medications as needed • Manage anticoagulation therapy and INR monitoring • Perform EKG/ECG and vital sign assessments • Conduct patient triage, education, and follow-up • Handle high-volume EPIC patient messaging and coordination • Support medication management and refill requests • Assist with chart preparation, referrals, and clinic workflow WORK ENVIRONMENT • Outpatient cardiology clinic setting • Adult patient population • High-volume clinic (70+ patients/day) • Epic charting system • Team-based clinical workflow Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years RN experience REQUIRED
- Outpatient or cardiology clinic experience REQUIRED
- CA RN license REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Experience with stress testing and cardiac procedures
- Experience with IV starts, medication administration, and patient triage
- Strong communication skills for high-volume patient interaction
