About The Position

Vibra Travels offers a unique travel program where you work with one recruiter from start to finish and assignment to assignment. They provide local and non-local positions with a competitive hourly rate and a tax-free stipend (if applicable), ensuring no pay cuts mid-contract. The program also includes a referral bonus, license reimbursement for new state licenses, and a choice of assignments at partner facilities across the country. The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and revising a plan of care for assigned patients and families, aligning with Vibra Travels' mission and values. This care involves direct patient interaction, delegation, and supervision of nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Key aspects of the RN role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care, building professional relationships, utilizing professional skills, fulfilling hospital responsibilities, and developing specialty-specific clinical expertise.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required.
  • Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year acute care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Additional certifications may be required by Vibra Travels (ex ACLS, PALS, NRP).

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Travels.
  • Provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrating clinical competence.
  • Managing patient care.
  • Improving quality of care.
  • Establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills.
  • Fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital.
  • Developing clinical expertise per specialty.
  • Supervises Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Aides and Techs.
