This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of all laundry equipment and systems within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial laundry machines, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. This is a 6am to 2:30pm M-F schedule with a rotating weekend shift every 3 to 4 weeks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a laundry setting
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of industrial laundry systems and components
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironers
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Coordinate with vendors for parts and specialized repairs
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns
- Assist in installation of new laundry equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements
- Train staff on proper equipment use and care
