Role responsibilities and growth: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess patient respiratory status, develop and implement care plans, and continuously monitor responses to therapies. You’ll manage ventilator support, optimize oxygen delivery, perform airway clearance techniques, administer bronchodilators and aerosolized medications, and assist with arterial blood gas collection and interpretation under appropriate supervision. You’ll participate in weaning and extubation when indicated and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize outcomes.
