About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry with a focus on wound care. This role involves managing outpatient and chronic wound care cases in an acute care environment, requiring strong assessment and clinical skills.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years)
• Outpatient and chronic wound care experience required
• Experience with wound care therapies (wound vacs, negative pressure dressings, Total Contact Casts)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hospitals of similar or higher acuity (Level 1 or 2 trauma preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized wound care treatment in a clinical setting
• Assess, measure, and document various types of wounds
• Apply advanced wound care therapies, including wound vacs and negative pressure dressings
• Perform Total Contact Casting and other wound management techniques
• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a Med/Surg Telemetry environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
