Responsibilities

• Prepare the sterile field and assist the surgical team with instrument handling, case setup, and equipment readiness to maintain patient safety and adherence to infection prevention protocols.
• Support scrub and circulating roles by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and ensuring accurate counts, specimen handling, and documentation in procedure notes.
• Verify patient positioning, anesthesia equipment readiness, and room turnover to minimize delays and optimize efficiency between cases.
• Participate in perioperative patient care moments, communicating clearly with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
