About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Nurse Educator – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for an exciting job in Brooklyn, NY.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience (required)
• Demonstrated experience in acute care hospital settings
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited program (required)
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Primary source license verification through NYSED
• Current AHA BLS certification

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Nursing Education or related field (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Clinical Education Design, deliver, and evaluate in-service education and training programs for Labor & Delivery and Medical/Surgical nursing staff
• Ensure educational content reflects current evidence-based practices and clinical standards
• Staff Development Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, and clinical guidance to support staff competency and professional growth
• Promote best practices in maternal, neonatal, and acute care nursing
• Competency Validation Assess, document, and maintain nursing competencies in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Clinical Resource Act as a subject matter expert for complex L&D and Med/Surg clinical scenarios
• Support bedside staff with clinical decision-making and best-practice guidance
• Quality Improvement Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational gaps
• Implement targeted learning initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care quality
