Requirements

Willing to travel
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a metal railing and fence installer or similar role
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Strong understanding of metal types and properties
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Welding and cutting techniques
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials
Attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in construction settings

Responsibilities

Install metal railings and fences according to project specifications and blueprints.
Measure and mark installation areas to ensure precise placement and alignment.
Cut, shape, and weld metal components using appropriate tools and techniques.
Assemble and secure metal structures using screws, bolts, and welding equipment.
Inspect and test installed railings and fences for stability and safety compliance.
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing metal railings and fences as needed.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with clients and contractors to understand design requirements and preferences.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring readiness for each project.
Estimate material and labor costs for projects and provide accurate project timelines.
Provide guidance and support to apprentices or junior installers as necessary.
Document project progress and report any issues or delays to supervisors.
