About The Position

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in the commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects, spanning coast to coast. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market. We are looking to hire several Sheet Metal Workers/Installers to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base and the surrounding area. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the base. Our Sheet Metal Workers/Installers will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves the technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position
  • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, or facilities operations setting is required; government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred
  • Per contract stipulations, access to SUBASE Kings Bay is limited to United States citizens only. Other work statuses cannot be considered for employment at this specific location.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in High Bay areas and work with turning veins experience preferred
  • Extensive rigging experience preferred
  • Hoisting Certifications preferred
