About The Position

Tenaska is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Travel & Expense Coordinator to support travel planning and expense report auditing across multiple Tenaska entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient, cost-effective travel arrangements while maintaining compliance with Tenaska’s Travel & Expense Policy. The ideal candidate enjoys coordinating logistics, partnering with employees, and balancing accuracy with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Research and present flight, rail, ground transportation, and hotel options for employee review and selection
  • Evaluate selected travel options against alternatives to ensure best value and policy compliance
  • Advise travelers when more cost-effective or policy-aligned options are available
  • Book travel arrangements once finalized with the traveler
  • Coordinate and manage travel changes as needed
  • Track and apply available airfare credits, vouchers, and related travel assets
  • Arrange hotel blocks for Tenaska events and coordinate details with hotel partners
  • Maintain accurate traveler profiles, including preferences, loyalty programs, and payment details
  • Audit employee expense reports for accuracy and policy adherence
  • Provide guidance to employees when out-of-policy expenses are identified
  • Report audit findings and trends to management
  • Assist with additional Accounting department responsibilities as assigned
