The Transporter position, under the direct supervision of the Director or designee, involves transporting patients to and from departments/units throughout the hospital, interacting with nursing personnel to ensure continuity of care, and assuming responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- No experience required
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients.
- Must have good communication skills with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
Responsibilities
- Performs those duties directly involved with the transport of patients to and from departments / units throughout the hospital.
- Interacts with nursing personnel to assure continuance of care during the transport process.
- Assumes responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions.
