Transporter - Centralized Transport
About The Position

This position, under the direct supervision of the Director or designee, involves the transport of patients to and from departments/units throughout the hospital. The Transporter will interact with nursing personnel to ensure continuity of care during the transport process and assume responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- No experience required
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients
- Must have good communication skills with patients, visitors, and co-workers
Responsibilities
- Perform duties directly involved with the transport of patients to and from departments / units throughout the hospital
- Interact with nursing personnel to assure continuance of care during the transport process
- Assume responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions
