Transporter - Centralized Transport
About The Position

This position, under the direct supervision of a Director or designee, involves the transport of patients to and from various departments and units throughout the hospital. The Transporter will interact with nursing personnel to ensure continuous care during the transport process and will be responsible for patients, equipment, and functions related to transport.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- No experience required
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients
- Must have good communication skills with patients, visitors, and co-workers
Responsibilities
- Performs duties directly involved with the transport of patients to and from departments / units throughout the hospital
- Interacts with nursing personnel to assure continuance of care during the transport process
- Assumes responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions
