The transportation scheduler/dispatcher creates daily and weekly schedules for drivers, van companion volunteers, and participants to ensure timely and efficient transportation services for the PACE department. This role assists the IDT, participants, and other departments in coordinating transportation when last-minute changes occur due to medical emergencies, schedule adjustments, or other circumstances. This position communicates and collaborates with drivers, IDT members, participants, and family members to support the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the transportation team. What is PACE? PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 180 PACE programs, serving more than 80,700 participants in 33 states. The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise.
