We are looking for a Transportation Project Manager to join our team in the Southwest. You will be based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and report to our Transportation Division. This career opportunity will allow you to build your industry/client network by collaborating and partnering with Parametrix staff who are highly respected transportation professionals in New Mexico.

Requirements

  • BSCE, New Mexico PE and 7+ years of progressive engineering experience related to transportation and roadway design for municipal, state highways, and the interstate system.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects for NMDOT, local agencies, or municipal clients.
  • Strong working knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and FHWA standards.
  • Experience designing a range of projects including local roads, highways, freeways, interchanges, intersections, and roundabouts.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management and delivery for a variety of transportation projects from planning through design and construction.
  • Manage highway and roadway projects for DOT and local municipalities, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget goals are met.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development, scope definition, and interviews.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental, structural, and traffic, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and contribute to team development.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and design standards.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop strategies to keep projects on track.
