About The Position

The Transportation and Capital Project Planning Intern reports to the Planning Specialist in the City of Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority . The Downtown Development Authority is responsible for public improvement projects that strengthen the downtown and attract new private investments. The DDA’s scope and work is explained in the Development Plan , which is mid-update.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in planning or a related field.
• Strong writing skills.
• Significant project coordination with external stakeholders is also a fundamental part of this position.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in planning or a related field or currently enrolled in a graduate level program.
• Working knowledge of specialty software including GIS, Excel, Adobe Suite, and desktop publishing.
