About The Position

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT COLUMBUS, NJ EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Transportation Aide (2 available positions) Title: Transportation Aide(s) Location: Mansfield Township School District Qualifications: Ability to read and write Good physical health and ability to perform assigned duties Knowledge of bus passenger safety and effective discipline procedures Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S citizenship or legal resident Reports To: School Business Administrator/Board Secretary Job Description: Assist the bus driver in maintaining student conduct on the bus. Assist young students in getting on and off the bus. Provide written records of violations of student code to the building principal. Provide instruction to students regarding passenger safety and ensure that students wear their seat belts when the bus is so equipped. Participate in scheduled emergency bus exit drills. Check to be sure that all students have been dropped off, and no passengers remain on the bus at the end of the bus route. Assist the bus driver in keeping the bus clean Terms of Employment: Position to begin: ASAP 10 Months; Part Time; Approximately 1-½ hour for both the AM and PM bus runs Rate of Pay: $16.15 per hour; All rates of pay are based upon the current Collective Bargaining Agreement Full time employees are eligible to participate in the following: medical, prescription and dental plans, NJ State administered Retirement System and in the Defined Contribution Retirement Program, tuition reimbursement, possible stipends, sick and personal days and paid time off.
