About The Position
1st Shift: 5am-1pm Monday-Friday, some Saturdays during our peak season. 2nd Shift: 1pm-11pm Monday-Thursday, some Fridays & Saturdays during our peak season. What we offer: Starting wage of $20/hour (plus $1.58 shift differential for 2nd shift). $22-$25/hour after 720 hours worked! Consistent working shift (no swing), plus overtime Sundays and holidays off Comprehensive benefits package following a probationary period You could join our team if you: Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent Can work up to 12-hour shifts, including some Saturdays Have some prior manufacturing experience (this is preferred, but not necessary) Are enthusiastic about learning and building new skills!
Requirements
- Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Can work up to 12-hour shifts, including some Saturdays
- Required on All Positions: Be a leader in safety and quality standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical and system issues
- Perform machine set-ups and change-overs to different types of products
- Process, understand, and plan for orders
- Participate in training of other team members and improvement of own skillset in order to operate multiple machines within the plant
- Take direction from management, supervisors, and operators
- Complete varied tasks within the plant, including frequently lifting items of up to 50 pounds and infrequently lifting items of up to 75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable using computerized equipment
- Communicate and work effectively with a diverse workforce
- Operate lift equipment, stand-up or sit-down, at heights of up to 25 feet, as needed
- Must possess basic math skills that include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and calculation of averages.
- Ability to read standard and metric rulers.
- Ability to use light tools such as wrenches, channel locks, and screw drivers.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and problem solve in a variety of situations.
- Ability to work individually and in small groups.
- Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office related software.
- Observe all safety issues, practice safe working habits and report any unsafe situations to a supervisor.
- Be adequately trained in lock out/tag out and all other safety related programs required by the company.
- Adhere to all environmental health and safety policies.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production (such as participating in Safety Blitzes)
Nice To Haves
- Have some prior manufacturing experience (this is preferred, but not necessary)
- Are enthusiastic about learning and building new skills!
- Prior machine operator and/or forklift experience is preferred.
