About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a temporary Transport & Housekeeping Manager that's full time for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, located in Newark, New Jersey. This is over a 600-bed acute care facility managing a team of 40 union staff. In this role you will be responsible for the Patient Transport Department, managing 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:30pm), with rotating weekends. This position will report to a GM on-site. Free parking! Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
  • Strong management skills, preferably in health care
  • Strong team building and employee engagement skills
  • Strong hospitality focus - be engaged and interactive with all our customers and employees
  • Strong drive to make things happen
  • Knowledge of best practices in Patient safety
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve patient satisfaction and throughput.
  • Interact with patients and the staff
  • Perform HR functions including hiring, orientation, training, payroll and direct supervision and development
  • Maintain safety documentation and training for unit
