About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused professional to join our team in a full‑time Dispatch and Billing role supporting patient transport services. This position offers a predictable, rotating schedule with extended time off built in, making it easier to plan work and personal commitments. In this role, you’ll coordinate both emergency and non‑emergency inter‑facility patient transports while managing related dispatch and billing functions. You’ll serve as a key point of communication between transport agencies, internal teams, and customers—helping ensure timely, safe, and accurate transport services. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

  • Medical secretary or healthcare administrative training preferred
  • One year of customer service experience preferred
  • One year of computer experience, including data entry and use of office systems, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate all patient transport requests, including ambulance and custodial coach services
  • Assign transport units, arrange crew schedules, and coordinate back‑up or ALS coverage when needed
  • Communicate transport details clearly between requesting departments and transport providers
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs and schedules
  • Complete ambulance billing, resubmissions, and follow‑up as needed
  • Manage accounts receivable, collections, and coordination with collection agencies
  • Accept customer payments (cash, credit/debit, or check) and issue receipts
  • Assist with monthly close, deposits, and reporting
  • Generate daily and monthly productivity and volume reports
  • Respond to questions and resolve concerns related to transports or billing
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and service excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance patient safety
  • Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures
  • Actively model Service Excellence behaviors by treating all patients, families, and colleagues with care, dignity, and respect
  • Take ownership of ongoing learning, performance improvement, and personal development
