This position is responsible for obtaining all necessary information to register and financially clear patients. The scheduler acts as a key resource, providing functional guidance and direction to new employees, and resolving problems using sound judgment and initiative. The role fosters an environment of continuous improvement in business processes and services. Key responsibilities include issue identification, assessment, and resolution, as well as technical support to ensure desired outcomes and compliance with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Sutter Health policies and standard procedures. The scheduler also oversees the collection of information during the registration workflow process to ensure efficient and accurate registration of patients in Emergency, Ambulatory, Inpatient, and Outpatient service areas, specifically related to hospital billing and compliance.
