An exciting opportunity for a Transfer Manager has arisen within the Actuation Systems business. The role requires a highly motivated, high achieving individual reporting to SED Actuation Rockford Operations Director to take responsibility for product transfers from Rockford's OEM and AM portfolio. The high quality products we design, produce and service in our Actuation business allow both passengers and crew members to have a more comfortable experience and greater piece of mind during flight. What we design and manufacture works together behind the scenes to enhance the overall flight experience. Requirements

  • Requires degree or equivalent in related subject
  • Requires significant broad-based experience of project-based policies/processes/tools/standards across more than one phase of lifecycle
  • Professional accreditation (APM or equivalent): PMQ

  • Experience in leading large scale product and capability transfers

Responsibilities

  • Lead for a Transfer Project covering both product and capability transfers.
  • Accountable for the activities of the Transfer both internally within the business as well as being the primary customer focal for this project externally.
  • The transfers will have global accountability to drive the execution and delivery of multiple transfer projects.
  • Potential direct responsibility for junior project personnel.
  • Generally individual contributor with potential for one or more support staff
  • Usually indirectly responsible for one integrated transfer team covering a product or a suite of closely related products that need to be transfers from one manufacturing location to another
  • Responsible for all transfer project outcomes associated with work scope covering but not limited to cost, schedule and quality
  • Customer key point of contact at working level for all items associated with project scope and appropriate customer first activities to ensure customer satisfaction and acts on these accordingly
  • Responsible for all project reporting
  • Responsible administration of all drumbeat project activities including but not limited to: Cadence Reviews at project level or inputs to programme level, change management at project level or inputs to programme level, Risk Review, Project Control etc.
  • Responsible for project governance including ensuring that all transfer gate reviews are completed in a timely manner
