About The Position

Under supervision, performs traditional administrative tasks and supports the team’s business development goals. Helps build profitable relationships with brokers and insureds and fully supports and complies with the company’s objectives and standards. Directly reports to the Head of Transactional Risk Insurance North America. Intro Relying on limited experience and knowledge, this role is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature and frequently non-routine.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant and progressive experience in underwriting administration
  • Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy; knowledge of additional language(s) is preferable.
  • Excellent organizational, numeric, and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Possess proclivity to problem-solving, self-accountability, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to function well under stringent working deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform an extensive array of administrative tasks and provide full administrative support for the Underwriting team.
  • Monitor and track submission flow, maintaining an inquiry log on a real-time basis.
  • Full file maintenance including tasks related to legal compliance with third-party and reinsurance audits (file correspondence and documents, preparation and maintenance of presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases).
  • Process bound deals, including issuing policies and invoices.
  • Follow up on outstanding premiums and liaise with brokers and Accounting department.
  • Review and process confidentiality agreements and other sundry legal agreements within a pre-defined scope of authority.
  • Manage calls and contacts, both internally and externally.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Occasionally help with reception tasks.
