The Training and Professional Development Intern is part of the Human Resources and Organizational Development division, which supports the staff who serve the constituents of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. This role specifically supports the Training and Professional Development function, contributing to initiatives that build on newly developed frameworks to organize and streamline departmental work, as well as to identify more targeted learning and development opportunities for Museum staff. The intern will support projects such as updating and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), analyzing annual training survey data, supporting internal training initiatives, and assisting with planning logistics for an internal Museum conference. The Children’s Museum is fiercely devoted to our Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) efforts. We cannot transform the lives of children and families unless we embrace all families. Together we are building and sustaining an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates differences. The Training and Professional Development staff also serves as the lead for the Museum’s Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) Task Force by coordinating the work and serving as a liaison between the Task Force and other staff.
