About The Position

Overview Instructs individuals and groups in theory and application of truck driving skills. Responsibilities Demonstrates and explains handling of automobile in emergencies, driving techniques, and mechanical; Supervises individual's performance of routine driving and parking requirements; Observes individual's driving habits and reactions under various driving conditions to ensure conformance with vehicle operational standards; Tests hearing and vision of individuals; Teaches motor vehicle regulations and insurance laws; Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull minimally. Qualifications Knowledge Truck driving experience is a requirement. Knowledge of safety rules and regulations is beneficial. Abilities Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Experience, Education, and Training High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum 2 years experience in the industry. Must have at least 6 months OTR driving experience within the last 2 years with a 53-ft trailer or more. Experience with Prime Driving Training a plus. Physical Requirements This position requires constant standing and walking; frequent sitting, head turning, writing, typing and reaching forward. Applicant must be able to lift, carry, push and pull minimally. Working Environment Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions. Licensing/Certification Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Miscellaneous Requirements Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
