The Department of Economic Security, Division of Business Services, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Training Officer 2. The Training Officer 2 provides instructor-led training throughout the state. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, delivering training; facilitating development activities; ensuring quality of training delivery and materials being presented; providing mentoring and coaching to staff, as necessary; coordinating with business partners and customers to meet organizational training needs; providing facilitation services as needed; assisting with course development; and completing other projects as requested by the supervisor or Training Manager. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business; then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements [https://publicstorage.dc4.pageuppeople.com/1045/ClientPublicFile/3601803f-02e5-4b70-b325-26c8ef309c1b.pdf]. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain thestatutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in applicable subject area such as Adult Education, Psychology, English, or similar field.
One (1) year of experience training adult learners as a full-time trainer responsible for instruction and group or team.

Responsibilities

Train division staff around the State on topics.
Prepares to train course content, such as learning new material, attending Train the Trainer workshops, gathering materials, traveling to class sites state-wide, and setting up training facilities.
Prepares to present training classes, including learning new materials, attending Train the Trainer workshops, gathering materials, traveling to class sites, setting up training facilities, etc.
Perform routine administrative tasks involving status reports, project plans and correspondence; attending meetings; serving on committees and teams; attending training and professional development classes and workshops; and serving on committees and work-groups.
Assist with creation and revision of all training materials/courseware.
