As a Trainer/Facilitator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering hands-on classroom and virtual training for Information Technology (IT) applications at the Military Sealift Command that cover Human Resources (HR) functions, finance and budgeting; as well as shipboard logistics and maintenance applications. You will work with a team of trainers. Bring your Training experience, collaboration skills, initiative, and energy to our team in the Chesapeake/Norfolk area. The position requires travel up to 50% during shipboard installations and training needs. Travel locations are CONUS and OCONUS depending on ship location during shipboard installations. What You’ll Get to Do: Collaborate with team members and Subject Matter Experts to develop and refine curriculum, courses, and lessons for IT software applications. Create and maintain training materials, manuals, user guides, FAQs, and tutorials using Agile methodology techniques. Develop hands-on labs, exercises, and simulations for practical learning experiences. Ensure learning objectives are appropriate to the audience, and the training materials meet the learning objectives. Deliver instructor-led training both in-person and virtual. Collect and document measurements and reports on training delivery and evaluate effectiveness of training. Adhere to established training material templates, document management guidelines, and delivery methods. Materials include student guides, presentations, business process flows, work instructions, exercises, simulations, quick references, job aids, post-test, and instructor guides. Bring new ideas to help drive continuous improvement in our training program. Learn and utilize Agile methodology to develop and deliver training to end-users. Provide on-site and virtual user support (as necessary).
