About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and evaluating the Admitting/Registration, Central Scheduling and Point of Service Collections (Patient Access Services) staff’s educational needs of the Texas Oklahoma Market, a total of 24 facilities. In addition, responsible for the creation, development and implementation of education programs to address the needs and requirements of Patient Access staff. Works with TX-OK Market/ facilities to schedule training.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience in the medical field including registration and/or patient accounting required.
  • Three (3) year minimum in educating and training staff.
  • Computer proficiency to include spreadsheet, database, Microsoft office/applications, TalkDesk, Patient Management System and Patient Accounting System.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the Patient Access Service procedures including patient access and patient accounting system, insurance benefits and eligibility, managed-care carriers/plans and medical terminology.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all age groups.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or will accept ten (10) years’ relevant work experience in lieu of degree, plus management experience as required above.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
