About The Position

The Training Coordinator serves as NSW’s on‑site representative and liaison with MCAS Yuma Range Control and Safety Offices to facilitate NSW training access and deconfliction. The role develops and maintains procedures for scheduling and utilization of MCAS Yuma facilities and training areas, coordinates scheduling between MCAS Yuma and Camp Billy Machen (Niland, CA), and provides updates on NSW range operations and unit usage.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years (within last 10 years) in military training and range operations, including range facility design, compliance, and environmental policies
  • Minimum 3 years working with U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) range operations procedures, including familiarity with RFMSS (or DoD range scheduling system of record).
  • Clearance: Secret (or interim within 30 days)
  • Valid state driver’s license; provide copy within 15 days of award/hire
  • Operate government vehicles (trucks/vans)
  • Uphold professional standards: strong work ethic; excellent verbal/written communication; attention to detail; ability to work independently; ability to write correspondence in military format; comply with applicable Federal/DoD/Navy/USSOCOM policies
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); data entry/maintenance; cross‑referencing; data retrieval/analysis for trends and reporting; research to resolve issues
  • Complete [AT1] required training and provide certificates
  • Submit Monthly Progress Report with FTE hours by support category; provide certification/licensing documentation upon request
  • Safeguard Government equipment/information; adhere to physical security; minimize service impacts during personnel changes
  • Security/CUI: comply with DD254; NIPR/SIPR workstation access requirements; base access; report incidents/breaches
  • Safety & Drug‑Free Workforce: random testing, reporting of mishaps, and compliance with FAR 252.223‑7004
  • Ability to operate government vehicles (trucks/vans) incident to duties; maintain valid driver’s license and required insurance
  • Ability to obtain/maintain base access/CAC and, if required, NIPR/SIPR workstation access
  • Ability to complete required training and comply with safety/drug‑free workforce policies

Responsibilities

  • Serve as representative and liaison between NSWCEN Ranges and MCAS Yuma Range Control/Safety.
  • Develop/maintain procedures for scheduling and utilization of MCAS Yuma facilities and training areas.
  • Coordinate scheduling between MCAS Yuma and Camp Billy Machen (CBM), Niland, CA.
  • Provide updates on NSW range operations and status of NSW units utilizing range facilities.
  • Utilize RFMSS or the DoD range scheduling system of record for planning, deconfliction, and reporting.
