About The Position

The Inventory Manager supports NSWCEN’s Range Department by developing and maintaining accurate personal property inventories, leading logistics management activities, and ensuring accountability/audit readiness of NSW range assets. The role assists Responsible Officers, reviews DPAS property records monthly, supports acquisition packages, monitors requests and receipts of materials/services, and assists GCPC administration and reconciliation with the Budget Analyst. The Inventory Manager also contributes to equipment life‑cycle planning and supports internal reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience within the last 10 years in military supply and logistics management
  • Clearance: Secret (or interim within 30 days)
  • License: Valid state driver’s license; provide copy within 15 days of award/hire

  • Familiarity and prior work with Naval Special Warfare (NSW)
  • Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
  • Experience with Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program

Responsibilities

  • Assist Range Department with near‑ and long‑term logistics requirements and day‑to‑day logistics support
  • Develop/maintain accurate personal property inventory; provide staff assistance to Responsible Officers
  • Review range asset reports; conduct monthly DPAS property record audit reviews
  • Assist in developing range project acquisition packages and requests for supplies/services
  • Monitor inventory status and materials/services requested/received; assist GCPC approval transactions
  • Reconcile monthly requests/expenditures and assist the Budget Analyst
  • Develop equipment Life‑Cycle Management Plans (LCMPs); support transition to Fleet Focus tool when directed
  • Operate government vehicles (trucks/vans)
  • Uphold professional standards: strong work ethic; excellent verbal/written communication; attention to detail; ability to work independently; ability to write correspondence in military format; comply with applicable Federal/DoD/Navy/USSOCOM policies
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); data entry/maintenance; cross‑referencing; data retrieval/analysis for trends and reporting; research to resolve issues
  • Complete [AT1] required training and provide certificates
  • Submit Monthly Progress Report with FTE hours by support category; provide certification/licensing documentation upon request
  • Safeguard Government equipment/information; adhere to physical security; minimize service impacts during personnel changes
  • Security/CUI: comply with DD254; NIPR/SIPR workstation access requirements; base access; report incidents/breaches
  • Safety & Drug‑Free Workforce: random testing, reporting of mishaps, and compliance with FAR 252.223‑7004
  • Ability to operate government vehicles (trucks/vans) incident to duties; maintain valid driver’s license and required insurance
  • Ability to obtain/maintain base access/CAC and, if required, NIPR/SIPR workstation access
  • Ability to complete required training and comply with safety/drug‑free workforce policies
