Requirements

  • Five years related experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of sales or training experience preferred.
  • Graduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements training and development programs focused on maximizing sales performance, identifying client needs, maximizing relationships, and generating sales activity from complex prospects.
  • Enhances sales techniques, communication skills, product knowledge, and technology maximization where appropriate.
  • Leads onboarding of mid and senior level sales executives.
  • Directs cross-training efforts between sales and relationship management crew to foster career development and increase sales acumen.
  • Trains sales crew on new products, sales process and consultative selling, sales presentation skills, phone selling, and virtual sales technology based on deep understanding of best practices and emerging trends and technology for sales organizations.
  • Sets Vanguard sales standards, competencies, and team procedures based on partnership with sales leaders and a deep understanding of sales management business plans and strategy.
  • Develops, executes, and enables training and development programs for mid and senior level sales executives and relationship managers based on deep understanding of external best practices and emerging trends and technologies.
  • Gathers multi-faceted and complex sales activity data to measure the success sales training programs.
  • Monitors ROI of training programs and justifies their effectiveness to sales management using advanced analysis and presentation methods.
  • Diagnoses and anticipates sales crew learning and development needs.
  • Ensures sales training programs align with the timing of critical, sensitive, or high-profile Vanguard initiatives, product launches, and sales enablement activities.
  • Promotes new sales training methods and technology ensures scalability to implement for all sales crew.
  • Disseminates broad knowledge of market forces, including distribution, competitors, and trends that may impact sales crew success.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
