Full time Training and Development Specialist Full Benefits 5 days a week Comps - $47000/yr. - $50000/yr. Does not design or develop training programs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: Develops and maintains course curriculum.Confers with management and staff to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in policies and procedures.Designs, creates and updates training aids, such as manuals, handouts, course exercises and visual aids.Delivers instruction using multiple modalities including but not limited to: one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, web-based training, and computer-based training.Confers with management, internal training consultants and HR to identify additional training needs, as required for new staff.Ensures ongoing feedback of training programs and modifies programs as needed.Prepares and facilitates client-specific and clinical type training in addition to new hire orientation, CPR and medical administration.Provides input regarding the formulation and modification of procedures and practices pertaining to agency training.Maintains current knowledge of organizational and industrial trends and makes appropriate recommendations for new or updated training programs.Performs other related duties and activities as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None Required Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the JobThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job: Education and Experience: One year of related experience preferred An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements Other Skills and Abilities: N/A Other Requirements: Travel as needed Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
