About The Position

Works closely with HR and Production Manager/Supervisor to help create, plan, and run training programs for new hires as well as on the job training of production floor associates. Maintains records for training and production through data entry and other forms of tracking.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 + years of college or equivalent preferred.
  • Two (2) + years in production or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years leadership equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to independently perform assignments with instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of QA manual.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and self-motivational skills.
  • Organized, responsible, punctual, and self-disciplined.
  • Follows oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve minor problems independently.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, machine functions, and test gauges.
  • Knowledge of all safety procedures and housekeeping practices.
  • Close visual work on the computer for long periods of time.
  • Moves frequently about the facility pinching, gripping, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, walking, climbing, and reaching.
  • Occasionally lifts/and or carries objects about the facility up to 35 lbs. or with the proper equipment.
  • Could be exposed to shop elements such as noise, odors, fumes, and variation in temperature.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a positive role model consistent with Polo’s corporate culture at all times.
  • Assists HR with initial New Hire training.
  • Trains new and existing associates for all phases of departments and products unfamiliar to them.
  • Provides training to develop knowledge skills and abilities of associates.
  • Monitors new associates’ progress and makes recommendations in probationary period.
  • Monitors daily team schedules to ensure training and production requirements are aligned.
  • Maintains training materials and records for new and existing associates.
  • Maintains and completes thorough record keeping.
  • Maintains daily production records and assist with other administrative duties as needed.
  • Aids other departments as needed or requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Works/trains in other areas/departments as business dictates.
