About The Position

Trainee Sales Engineer - Automation Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Package: Bonus, Car Allowance, 20 Days PTO, Medical, Eyecare, Dental, 401k Location: Home based / Field based in Houston Most sales roles talk about “solutions” and “relationships” but revolve around incremental orders and price negotiations. This one doesn’t. You’ll be selling custom built, fully automated bulk packaging, Vertical Form Fill Seal systems with an average order value of $2 million. Every deal is engineered, bespoke, and operationally critical to your customer’s business. Your conversations won’t be about discounts. They’ll be about throughput, uptime, safety, ROI, and future-proofing operations. We're looking for a fresh, ambitious, technical person that's looking to transition into a sales environment. Requirements

  • Educated in Engineering at degree level or above: Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
  • An ambitious, hard working attitude. This is a steep learning curve and will require only the best to earn an outstanding career.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to ensure you can lead client projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal sales experience within engineering / manufacturing industries will be advantageous.
  • Experience within hands on engineering roles will also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a strategic sales plan across Houston
  • Managing and growing key accounts while identifying new project opportunities
  • Leading complex, consultative sales processes from first conversation to contract signature
  • Conducting site surveys and working closely with customers to define technical and operational requirements
  • Writing and presenting detailed commercial proposals and forecasts
  • Negotiating with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and leadership teams
  • Working cross functionally with engineering, project delivery, and service teams to ensure flawless execution
