About The Position

Experienced in the operation of diesel locomotives and loading and unloading of commodities such as lignite and ash. Performs switching operations. Performs light repairs to locomotives and railcars. Complies with the Luminant safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Understanding of the best practices in Diesel Locomotive and production/maintenance will be required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be willing to work a rotating 12-hour shift and overtime as scheduled or assigned.
• Work is of a physical nature and performed in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Electrical/mechanical skills are not required, but would be beneficial.
